Surrey Team Mates Cut A Dash With Their New Kia Models
July 2, 2019 by KiaTaking a break from training for the Specsavers County Championships, Surrey Captain Rory Burns cuts a dash in his new Kia Stinger 3.3 T-GDi GT S alongside team mate Dean Elgar in his Sorento 2.2 CRDi GT-Line. Rory is currently driving his second Kia Stinger – the first was a stand-out Sunset Yellow model whereas this time he's chosen a more subtle HiChroma Red. The Stinger is Kia's first rear wheel drive Gran Tourismo having launched to high acclaim in 2017. Rory's GT S features the range topping 3.3-litre 365bhp twin-turbo V6 making it the fastest and most powerful model in the range. South African Batsman Dean Elgar has chosen Kia's large SUV to get him safely and securely around the country this year. The Sorento GT Line features a 197bhp 2.2 litre turbodiesel engine which drives all four wheels and has an extensive list of standard features. The vehicle also features an eight-speed automatic gearbox complete with wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Kia Motors (UK) Limited has been involved with the Surrey cricket team since 2011 and the current contract continues to the end of the 2020 season and during that time the team have enjoyed their time in a variety of Kia models.
