World's Largest Collector Car Auction Company Returns To Denver, July 12-13
600 Collector Cars to be Featured at Mecum Denver 2019 at Colorado Convention Center
Highlighting the fifth-annual auction in the Mile High City is a 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback(Lot S100) that is one of just 118 Nightmist Blue GT500s produced with an automatic transmission for that year. With a low 24,000 original miles, Shelby No. 00410 has been cared for and maintained by a single family since the 1990s and benefits from a recently completed concours rotisserie restoration. The Shelby is equipped with a balanced and blueprinted matching-numbers 428 CI Police Interceptor V-8 topped with restored original Holley 600 CFM BJ/BK 4-barrel carburetors and features a matching-numbers Select-O-Matic transmission.
Joining the auction-headlining Shelby GT500 at Mecum Denver 2019 are a 1960 Chevrolet Impala (Lot S127) painted in correct code 900-A Tuxedo Black with an original code-873 Red and White interior, and a 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS (Lot S45) that has been driven just 10,800 miles since a frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration. Other notable consignments include a 1935 Chrysler C6 Airstream Business Coupe (Lot F59), a 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup (Lot S72), a highly original 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (Lot S48) and a1967 Pontiac GTO (Lot S47).
Mecum Denver 2019 is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. Bidder registration is available online in advance for $100, $200 after July 11, and includes admission for two to each auction day. General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online after July 11; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Doors open daily at 8 a.m., with the vehicle auction beginning at 10 a.m. NBC Sports Network will broadcast 7.5 hours of auction coverage, including 3 hours live, and a live stream of the entire auction will be presented atMecum.com.
