Bonhams Announces MPH For Modern And Popular Collectors' Motor Cars
Bonhams, the international auction house, renowned for its sales of rare and significant collectors motor cars at some of the world's most prestigious venues, is bringing its expertise to the growing modern and affordable classics market, with the launch of Bonhams MPH.
The debut sale will take place on Thursday 26 September and Bonhams MPH will host monthly on-site valuation and photography days on the last Friday of the month, from 26 July, when potential Sellers can show and discuss their cars with the MPH team.
The Bonhams MPH service will include a simple online consignment process, which will offer both sellers and buyers an efficient way to sell or purchase a car, via the new MPH portal, mph.bonhams.com - a first for Bonhams.
Sellers will be guided by a user-friendly step-by-step process, which includes a unique 100-point condition report detailing all aspects of the vehicle to provide buyers with as much advance information as possible.
They will then be contacted by one of the Bonhams MPH team to discuss the vehicle and finalize the consignment process for the next auction.
Bronze
The simplest package, costing £125 + VAT, provides full display on the online catalog and a half page entry in the printed edition.
Silver
As Bronze, but with a full page in the printed edition at £175 + VAT.

The 'cover all' package includes professional-quality photography of the vehicle by an MPH representative, as well as a minimum one-page entry in the printed catalog and full online inclusion. In addition, the vehicle will be valeted at the sale venue, at £300 + VAT.
Auction Fees
MPH offers Sellers and Buyers alike a modest fee structure with Sellers paying 5 per cent + VAT and Buyers 12.5 per cent + VAT.

James Knight, Bonhams Executive Director and Motoring Group Chairman, said:
'Bonhams' motoring sales are known as the 'Blue Riband' of automotive auctions and until now, our sales calendar has served the higher end of the collector's car market.
'We recognize that the market is evolving and now covers a much broader spectrum that, until now, we have not been able to provide our service or expertise to. We are delighted that Bonhams MPH will allow us to offer the same Bonhams values to a wider audience, via a more streamlined service.
'We identified Bicester Heritage as the stand-out location for our new operation and I am delighted that Dan Geoghegan and his management team expressed the same appetite for Bonhams to take up residence. We cannot wait to develop Bonhams MPH: the potential is enormous.'
Daniel Geoghegan, Chief Executive of Bicester Motion, owner of Bicester Heritage, commented: 'We have long admired Bonhams' presence and performance in the classic car auction market and are absolutely delighted to welcome their new venture, Bonhams MPH, to Bicester Heritage.
'The establishment of Bonhams MPH within 90 minutes of 50 per cent of the UK population will offer the best professionalism in the auction world to the largest possible audience.'
'The arrival of Bonhams MPH augments Bicester Heritage's thriving Center of Excellence for the classic car work, now with over 40 specialists on site alongside its events.'
The new Bonhams MPH website is launched on Monday 10 June 2019: mph.bonhams.com.
Consignments are being invited for the debut sale on 26 September with confirmed lots including a unique collection of ex-SAS and military Land Rovers, including two of only 20 remaining iconic 'Pink Panthers', which are to be offered on the open market for the first time in 20 years; plus a trio of 'hot hatch' Renaults.
