McLaren Adds Further Strength To European Motorsport Retail Network With The Appointment Of McLaren Frankfurt
•McLaren Frankfurt confirmed as third location in Europe alongside McLaren Glasgow and McLaren Zurich
•Latest appointment extends the offer of sales, service and track-support to track-day enthusiasts and McLaren Customer Racing teams to 12 locations in seven countries
McLaren Automotive has expanded its motorsport retailer network with a new appointment in the European region. The appointment of McLaren Frankfurt brings the total number of Official Motorsport Retailers within the McLaren Automotive retail network to 12 across seven countries, including the two present locations in Europe having offering sales, service and tailor-made customer support for McLaren motorsport products.
McLaren Frankfurt is one of three McLaren sites operated by the Dörr Group across Germany, the others being Stuttgart and Munich. Frankfurt is the first McLaren Official Motorsport Retailer in this market.
McLaren Frankfurt joins the two existing McLaren Official Motorsport Retailers in Europe, McLaren Glasgow and McLaren Zurich, inservicing and supporting private owners and customer teams running the highly-successful McLaren 570S GT4 and new-for-2019 McLaren 720S GT3. Both models have already scored strong results on track this season, with 570S GT4 drivers British GT Championship and Michelin PILOT Challenge in the USA, while the 720S GT3 scored its maiden European victory last month at the Hockenheim circuit.
'Motorsport pushes the performance levels of all competitors to the highest levels and is core to all activities within McLaren Automotive. The addition of McLaren Frankfurt as part of the Official Motorsport Retailer network is an important step as we further strengthen the service offering to our customers globally, and I am pleased to welcome them to the network at this exciting time. This site is in a strategical strong location to further improve the infrastructure and levels of support alongside the existing retailers to our customer base of track day enthusiasts and competitive customer teams.
Each of the Official Motorsport Retailers are critical to the customer journey, as they know and fully understand their customers better than anyone and are key to the transition from a customer who may have owned many McLaren roadcars, to one who is gaining the first experience of motorsport.'
Dan Walmsley, Motorsport Director, McLaren Automotive.
'We are looking forward to working with McLaren Customer Racing, there is a clear structure that we strongly support. The lines are short and the team in Woking is very focused. The topic is being pushed forward with great passion there as well as with our team. The procedure when buying a racing car is basically the same as for a McLaren road car, the customers can be competently advised by our staff in our McLaren showrooms in Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Munich. After the consultation, the process starts: preparation, delivery, service and support of the vehicles for and during the operations of our customers.'
