Mecum To Hold Collector Car Auction At The Portland Expo Center, June 21-22500 Vehicles Ranging from Entry-Level to Investment-Grade Available for Bids

WALWORTH, Wis. – May 30, 2019 – Mecum, the world's largest collector car auction company, will return to Portland this June 21-22 for an offering of 500 classic and collector cars at the Portland Expo Center including everything from American muscle cars and Corvettes, to classics, vintage pickup trucks, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more.

Among the current featured lots set to cross the block in Portland is a Candy Apple Red1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback (Lot S120). Bearing KK No. 1886, the 4-speed car is one of just 857 Boss 429s produced for 1969, this example featuring the Boss 429/375 HP 820-T engine, and the vehicle is presented today following a two-year restoration that included a refinishing in its original color as applied by the factory. Another 4-speed Mustang consigned for auction is a 1969 Mach 1 Fastback (Lot S83) that boasts a matching-numbers S-Code 390 CI V-8 big-block engine and 4-barrel carburetor. The vehicle recently underwent a rotisserie restoration returning it to factory specifications including the correct Winter Blue metallic exterior paint.

Other auction highlights include a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible (Lot S98) equipped with a matching-numbers dual-quad 365/300 HP V-8 engine; previously owned by Hall of Fame 'Kustomizer' John D'Agostino, the car is one of 1,800 produced in 1967 and today features custom House of Kolor Pearl paint by Hall of Fame artist and painter Art Hims. A 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 (Lot S139) believed to have 68,880 miles is another featured offering, as is a 1971 Buick GSX (Lot F211) that was one of 337 imported for sale into Canada and a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger Roadster (Lot S79) with a 260 CI engine, 4-speed transmission and rare paint-code 1 Black exterior.

The auction is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. Bidder registration is available online in advance for $100, $200 after June 20, and includes admission for two to each auction day. General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online after June 20. Children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Doors open each day at 8 a.m. with the vehicle auction beginning at 10 a.m. NBC Sports Network will broadcast portions of the auction, and a live stream of the entire auction will be presented at Mecum.com.
