The presentation ceremony of 'Qatar Car of the Year (QCOTY)' 2019, the country's top automotive awards, organised by Maqina Middle East magazine in association with the Mawater Centre, has been held in Doha (Qatar). The prizes are awarded by the magazine's experts to the best vehicles - in all segments - on the basis of four key criteria: design, performance, safety and technological innovations. Prize and resale value are also considered in the final assessments.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio won the title of 'Best Mid-Size Sports SUV' while Abarth 595 Competizione was named 'Best Compact Sports Car' in the premium segment. These awards extend the already impressive list of international prizes held by the two models.
