Citroën Wins Van Of The Year And Claims Two Further Prizes In The Trade Van Driver Magazine Awards 2019
New Citroën Berlingo Van has been named 'Van of the Year' and 'Best Small Van' in the 2019 Trade Van Driver magazine awards. Citroën scooped a third award too with the magazine selecting Citroën's Relay Ready to Run conversions programme as the 'Best Conversion Range'.
Eisenegger continued, 'Tracing its roots way back to 1995, the Berlingo has become the must-have vehicle for traders in the UK who want a small van to carry out their business. Our judges had no hesitation in awarding New Citroën Berlingo Van the ultimate Trade Van Driver accolade.'
New Berlingo Van has been racking up the awards since it was launched last year. This includes 'International Van of the Year' 2019, 'Fleet Van of the Year' in the 2019 Fleet World Great British Fleet Awards, 'Light Commercial Vehicle of the Year' and 'Light Van of the Year' at the 2019 What Van? Awards and 'Small Van of the Year' from Company Car and Van magazine.
New Berlingo Van wasn't the only Citroën offering to convince the Trade Van Driver judges. Citroën's Relay Ready to Run conversions programme was named as the 'Best Conversion Range' in this year's awards.
Citroën was among the first manufacturers to introduce an LCV conversions programme, many years before the European Whole Vehicle Type Approval Scheme was introduced to set standards for converters. Ready to Run conversions now include Tipper, Dropside, Luton, Box, Low-floor Luton and Curtainside bodywork for selected variants of the Relay chassis and crew cab.

New Citroën Berlingo Van has added two more awards to the growing list it has already received when it was named 'Van of the Year' and 'Best Small Van' in the 2019 Trade Van Driver magazine awards. 'Trade Van Driver magazine prides itself on offering a true reflection of the thoughts and feelings of its readership', said editor Matthew Eisenegger.
'Many traders need a special vehicle for their business and don't want to have to go to several different companies to have conversions made up. For sheer one-stop-shop convenience on a huge range of special models, no manufacturer can quite match the Citroën range in the view of the judges', said Matthew Eisenegger.
