Explorer XLT gets an available new XLT Sport Appearance Package featuring 20-inch Carbonized Gray-painted 10-spoke wheels, Carbonized Gray-painted grille bars and mesh insert, liftgate appliqué, lower bodyside cladding insert and skid plate elements. Dual chrome exhaust tips, Carbonized Gray Explorer hood badge, unique Explorer branded front floor mats, stretch diamond instrument panel appliqués, Light Slate seats with Medium Slate stitching for all rows, plus unique door trim panel inserts with contrast stitching complete the look.
An expanded wheel lineup adds two new wheel options for eight options across the range – including 18-inch painted aluminum wheels now standard for the base Explorer and 20-inch hand-polished aluminum wheels available for the Limited edition.
With its quick-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission, available intelligent four-wheel drive plus a Terrain Management System featuring seven selectable drive modes, Explorer is built to tackle virtually any adventure. Explorer equipped with the 3.0-liter EcoBoost® can tow up to 5,600 pounds with the Class III Trailer Tow Package, while 2.3-liter EcoBoost-powered Explorer can tow up to 5,300 pounds with the Class III Trailer Tow Package.
Available new exterior colors include Carbonized Gray, Infinite Blue Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Stone Gray. Advanced technology offerings include an available wireless charging pad, FordPass Connect™ Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices, and SYNC® 3 with Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto® and Waze navigation compatibility.
