500-600 HP Now Available for 2014 C7 Corvette, Venom GT Debut at Dubai Motor Show
November 4, 2013 Sealy, Texas-Beneath the carbon-fiber hood of the seventh-generation Corvette Stingray throbs the most powerful base engine ever offered: the 455-bhp 6.2-liter LT1 V-8, a direct-injected aluminum powerplant that, amazingly, can launch you to 60 mph in just over 4 seconds yet still return up to 30 mpg on the highway. The power is certainly ample, but we at Hennessey are never content with stock levels and prefer nice round numbers...how does 500 or 600 horsepower at the crank strike you? It's as easy as buying our upgrade packages through an authorized Chevrolet dealership or having the installation performed at a Hennessey facility near Houston, Texas, or in Lake Forest, California.
The HPE500 upgrade ($4,995 installed) consists of stainless steel long-tube headers, high-flow cats, and midpipes that mate with the excellent standard-issue rear exhaust section. Provided you have the dual-mode performance exhaust already (a $1195 stand-alone option available on any Corvette trim level from the factory), you can tune the exhaust note from near-stock rumble to civil-disobedience roar by rotating a console-mounted knob from Touring to Sport to Track. An HPE engine computer calibration completes the powertrain changes, and exclusivity is guaranteed with an engraved aluminum dash plaque whose serial number denotes the build order in a production run limited to 500 units (for example, 01/500).
Opt for the HPE600 upgrade ($10,950 installed) and there's a full 600 horsepower on tap. Starting with the HPE500 baseline, we add an HPE-spec hydraulic roller camshaft and increase airflow by porting and polishing the factory cylinder heads. Of course, another proprietary HPE tune of the engine computer ensures proper fuel delivery and spark advance for the ultimate in normally aspirated C7 performance, delivered with 93-octane premium pump gas.
There's much more C7 performance on the horizon-up to 1000 crank horsepower through supercharger and twin-turbo upgrades currently under development-but you can make a more powerful visual statement through optional exterior upgrades such as our new Hennessey H10 forged monoblock wheels (10-spoke alloys that, in Z51 Package sizes, accept the C7's original-equipment tires and reduce unsprung weight by a significant 19 lb), HPE carbon-fiber door sills and Hennessey CarbonAero bodywork-a a deep front splitter, side sills and a more aggressive notched rear wing crafted from hand-laid carbon fiber.
Both the HPE500 and HPE600 packages include Hennessey exterior badging as well as Hennessey carbon fiber door sill plates and are covered by HPE's 3-year/36,000-mile powertrain warranty.
Hennessey H10 Forged Monoblock Wheels for the 2014 C7 Corvette Reduce Unsprung Weight by 19 lb!
As part of our continuing development of Corvette C7 upgrades, Hennessey Performance is now able to offer custom wheel options for the new 2014 LT1 6.2L Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The Hennessey H10 is a fully-forged one-piece monoblock wheel that utilizes much racing wheel design and technology. The 10-spoke design not only looks great, but allows plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment, while the one-piece forging and I-beam spoke design yield a wheel that is extremely stiff yet possesses high fatigue strength. And for most applications and sizes, it also delivers a high-performance weight reduction-making it perfect for motorsports and racing applications or the discerning street enthusiast who demands the ultimate in performance capability!
The H10 forged monoblock wheel is designed and optimized through finite element analysis, and boasts a 2100 lb. street-tire load rating (per wheel) to ensure strength and integrity, even when subjected to the massive loads encountered when using the stickiest race tires. This Hennessey signature wheel is produced from 6061-T6 aluminum using traditional forging methods. It is currently available in 18, 19, and 20-inch sizes with a range of widths and offsets. And just like any Hennessey wheel, the H10 forged monoblock wheel is available with fully customizable finish options.

265.7 mph Hennessey Venom GT Hypercar Makes Middle East Debut at the Dubai Auto Show, Nov. 5-9
Dubai, UAE - The Hennessey Venom GT, the hardest-accelerating hypercar on the planet, will be shown for the first time at the Dubai International Auto Show, November 5-9, 2013, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Hennessey Performance (HPE) has built the last word in hypercars: the 1244-bhp Venom GT, an aluminum-chassis, carbon-bodied machine whose twin-turbo 7.0-liter V-8 will obliterate any other production car from 50 to well over 250 mph. The Venom GT, whose mid-longitudinal dry-sump powerplant drives massive 345/30R-20 rear tires, holds the Guinness World Record for 0-300 km/h (186 mph) acceleration, accomplishing the feat in just 13.63 seconds. In a separate 2-mile standing-start contest, the Venom GT attained a speed of 265.7 mph. Given a little more road, the Venom GT's peak velocity of more than 270 mph would most likely have been realized.
This handbuilt hypercar handles and stops as fiercely as it accelerates, with Penske double-adjustable coilovers, double A-arm suspension all around and Brembo 6-piston calipers clamping 15-in. carbon-ceramic rotors. Composite materials and aerospace-quality construction techniques keep the Venom GT strong, safe and light; its hybrid aluminum monocoque/tubular structure incorporates chrome-moly steel roll hoops, and the entire car weighs in at a svelte 2743 lb. Forged monoblock aluminum wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport radials.
Options include, but are not limited to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, bare carbon-fiber finish, right-hand drive, Stefano Ricci interior and a stereo system designed by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. The Venom GT is priced at $1.2 million.
HPE plans to build a total of just 29 Venom GTs, with more than a third of the production run already completed. Each vehicle is custom built to order and requires six months for completion. KAR Performance Bahrain is the exclusive distributor of the Hennessey Venom GT in the Middle East.
'The GCC is a very important market for our Venom GT and the Hennessey brand', said company founder, John Hennessey. 'Guys in the Middle East like the best and want drive the fastest most exciting cars. And the Venom GT delivers exactly what they are seeking.'
