Pride Of Britain As Jaguars Gather For CCA Auction On Saturday
•A superb pair of XK8s with low mileage being offered
•Classic E-types from restored to restoration
Classic Car Auctions sale this coming weekend at the Warwickshire Event Centre, will see a fine selection Jaguars being offered from No Reserve to £50,000 in keeping with the auction theme of offering Everyman Classics.
The lots include several XK8s of which two of the most desirable are low mileage and ownership. Having proved popular in recent auctions, another standout low mileage XJS is being offered. E-types are always a popular choice and among those looking for new homes are projects to restored cars. There are also some great cars being offered at No Reserve like an XJR.
CCA is offering six XK8s of differing specifications including these two fine examples of the sporty two door tourers. Lot 380 is a 2000 convertible, with the 4.0-litre V8 engine and an automatic gearbox, perfect for the summer days. This particular example has done just 21,000 miles from new and had only two owners. Presented in Sapphire Blue with an ivory leather interior, this car comes with extensive history and estimated at just £16,000 to £20,000.
If a soft top is not for you, Lot 391, a 1998 4.0-litre V8 coupe with even lower mileage at 13,805 and only one owner is also being offered. This car has been impeccably cared for and dry stored for the last five years. It comes with an extensive history and a fresh MOT. Estimated at £13,000 to £16,000, this could be a bit tempting.
Lot 328 will make a great restoration project, a 1969 left-hand-drive Series 2 E-type Roadster imported from the USA. It is supplied with a NOVA declaring all taxes paid. This car according to its heritage certificate has a manual gearbox from new but has no history. Estimated to sell at £15,000 to £18,000.
Of all the XJS' being offered Lot 375 is very impressive. From long term ownership of 20 years and with 37,600 miles on the clock, this is a lovely example of what is proving a popular classic. Finished in Signal Red and with a 5.3-litre V12 engine purring under the bonnet and a decent history file, this is a lovely elegant convertible with only three previous keepers. It is estimated at £17,000 to £20,000.
Lot 400, the 2005 XJR with 55,100 miles being is being offered at No Reserve. An extremely well maintained car, finished in Radiance Red with a Black Nappa leather interior, the paintwork has been fully protected and the alloys refurbished. This Jaguar formed part of a private collection where it has been kept in regulated storage. Supplied with a fresh service it is now ready for a new home.
Gary Dunne commented: 'We have a tremendous selection of Jaguars being offered at the weekend, 28 in total and have highlighted some of those cars.'
'Jaguar enthusiasts are spoilt for choice, there really is a spread of models to suit all budgets and abilities. If you are after a restoration project or something to tinker with, then we look forward to welcoming you to the Warwick Event Centre on Saturday.'

CCA has four E-Types in the auction in vary degrees of conditions. One of the standouts is Lot 371 a 1969 Series 2 2+2 Coupe which has been in the current ownership for the last 34 years. Acquired by the current vendor in 1985 with 15,000 miles on the clock, it is now being offered with just under 30,000 miles. It has had just three owners in its lifetime and at one point spent nine years laid up. This E-type comes with an extensive history file, having undergone a bare metal restoration and also having a gearbox rebuild and overhaul in 2017, with the interior retaining its original patina. This car is ready to be enjoyed and offered with an estimate of £40,000 to £50,000.
