Mitsubishi Motors Concludes Its 28Th And Final Year Of Badminton Horse Trials SponsorshipThe 28th and final year of sponsorship of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials concluded with Piggy French taking the victory following one of the closest fought contests in recent history.

Rob Lindley, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, summed up the day: 'Congratulations to Piggy French and her equine partner, the amazing Vanir Kamira. Witnessing them show jump in the beautiful Badminton arena was an incredible experience with the crowd willing the horse over every jump.'

Mr Lindley added, 'Moments like these will stay in our memories for a very long time as Mitsubishi Motors in the UK sponsorship of the Badminton Horse Trials comes to an end. Thank you to the organisers, competitors, volunteers and everyone else who has been part of this wonderful event for the past 28 years.'

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK had some of its Brand Ambassadors at the 2019 Badminton Horse Trials including members of the Gloucester Rugby team, chef and TV personality Rosemary Shrager and two times winner of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and legend of the sport, Mary King. All of whom took time to meet and greet fans and spectators during autograph signing sessions at the Mitsubishi Motors Brand Experience stand throughout the event.

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK's involvement with the Badminton Horse Trials began back in 1992, with the company quickly becoming synonymous with the competition which showcases the best three-day eventing to be seen anywhere in the world.

More than 120 vehicles were provided each year by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK to support the event for use by officials, cross country fence judges, vets and media amongst others. Over 80 members of staff from Mitsubishi Motors in the UK also attended each year to facilitate the smooth running of this massive event. This included staff providing press and media assistance, IT support and security along with providing customer assistance at the Brand Experience stand. Other staff members were also on hand to host clients, dealers, Brand Ambassadors and special guests throughout the event.

The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials has also been the home for the past few years of the Mitsubishi Motors Cup, which brings together winners of regional events from around the country to contest the overall British Eventing Championship held at BE90 and BE100 level. The winners of the 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Cup were Miss Alana Sparrow on Angels Spirit (BE100) and Mrs Laura Greenhalgh on Sarah Reeve's Stanhopes Travelling Man! (BE90).
