SsangYong Motors UK Launches Light Vehicle Apprenticeship Programme

SsangYong Motors UK is delighted to announce the inception of its inaugural apprenticeship programme for Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technicians.

The SsangYong programme, nationally recognised by the IMI, has been designed specifically to maximise on-the-job training whilst minimising time away from the dealership. The programme is run by a fully qualified, dedicated team who ensure that every candidate receives comprehensive training on the latest vehicles, specialist tools, industry technologies, diagnostic equipment, IT systems and customer handling techniques.

The programme is three years in duration and includes eight, one-week long modules per year, delivered at the SsangYong Academy in Nottingham. As well as containing information on training and assessment, all apprenticeship standards must contain an End-Point Assessment where an independent organisation is involved – this ensures all apprentices following the same standard are assessed consistently.

A total of fourteen SsangYong franchised dealers have signed up to the programme so far.'
