Formula Drift 2017 Pro Championship Season Kicks Off In 4 Days In Long Beach
March 28, 2017 by Formula DRIFTLong Beach, Calif. – March 27, 2017 – The Formula DRIFT Black Magic Championship presented by BlackVue Dash Cameras will kickoff the 14th Pro Championship season beginning with Round 1: Streets of Long Beach in 4 days. On March 31 – April 1, drifting will return to city streets in Long Beach, CA. 3-time Formula DRIFT champion, Chris Forsberg in the NOS Energy Nissan 370Z will look to defend his championship and has teamed up with top driver Ryan Tuerck. Also joining forces this season will be Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Chelsea DeNofa, the winner of Round 1 last season, who will be piloting the second Ford Mustang RTR. Fredric Aasbo will aim for another championship in a brand new vehicle. Returning to the Series is top European contender, James Deane, who will be joined by top Polish driver Piotr Wiecek. The event will also feature the AutoCon car show, vendor village, and open paddock for the fans. Each ticket holder will have access to their nearly 100 teams, displays, and vendors.
