RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS LAS VEGAS AT THE LINQ TRACK LAYOUT RELEASED

October 30, 2014 by Global RallyCross Championship

RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS LAS VEGAS AT THE LINQ TRACK LAYOUT RELEASEDA brand new track layout will characterize November 4-5's Red Bull Global Rallycross Las Vegas at The LINQ, the 10th and final event of the 2014 Red Bull GRC season and its third consecutive season finale in Las Vegas. Characterized by long straightaways, technical segments, and the series' signature jump, the track will be the ideal setting for the series' four-way title fight in the Supercar class.

The Las Vegas course layout will see cars racing counterclockwise for only the third time this season, following stops in Washington, DC and Charlotte. Drivers are greeted with a long, paved straightaway and sweeping left-hander at the start, showcasing the ability to accelerate from 0-60 in under two seconds. A series of turns of increasing difficulty lead the drivers to the dirt section and a curved right-hander, leading into either the jump or the joker lap, before another tight left-hand sequence leads them to the frontstretch once again.

Once again, the Red Bull Global Rallycross season finale in Las Vegas is shaping up to be an incredible finale, with racing superstars Ken Block, Nelson Piquet Jr., and Scott Speed all mathematically eligible to challenge points leader Joni Wiman for the Supercar championship. 23 drivers in the Supercar and GRC Lites classes have entered the season-closing event, producing one of the largest fields of the 2014 season.

In 2012, during the first series finale to take place in Las Vegas, Tanner Foust won the title after holding off a hard-charging Brian Deegan for the victory; last year, Block took his first series victory over Foust and Travis Pastrana.

Tickets are still available for November 4-5's Red Bull Global Rallycross Las Vegas at The LINQ. They can be purchased at http://www.redbullglobalrallycross.com/LV. Red Bull Global Rallycross Las Vegas at The LINQ will be streamed LIVE during the event on RedBull.TV, and will be broadcast on Sunday, November 16 at 1:30PM ET on NBC.
