INFINITI OWNERS IDENTIFY TOP FEATURES ON THE NEW Q50 PREMIUM SPORT SEDANFRANKLIN, Tenn. – Infiniti has some of the most passionate and vocal owners of any premium brand. Since the Q50 went on sale last August, Infiniti owners have taken to social media and online forums, to share photos and specific commentary on what they like best about the Q50. New and repeat customers have recognized the Q50 for the features it offers; styling, hybrid torque and handling are the most notable.

Styling

When it first debuted, the Q50 marked a new styling dimension for Infiniti, 'an energetic force rooted in nature, such as the shape of a dynamic wave,' said executive design director for Infiniti Alfonso Albaisa. Infiniti owners love the design of their new cars for many reasons, including a front fascia that exhibits an almost human look in the design of the vehicle's markers and headlights, as well as the integration of Infiniti's characteristic crescent cut c-pillar; traits not found on any other car, inside or outside the segment.

As with other models within the lineup, the Q50's sheet metal wraps around the car in a tight, yet fluid manner conveying an aggressive athleticism that hints at impressive performance beneath its skin.

Hybrid Torque

The Q50 is often cited by owners for delivering outstanding acceleration and impressive fuel economy. Building upon the already exciting 328-horsepower standard V6, Infiniti offers an available all-wheel drive 360-horsepower hybrid version that accelerates to 60 miles per hour in 5.2 seconds, while at the same time returning up to 36 miles per gallon; making it both fast and frugal.

Handling

Tuned from the outset to offer drivers just the right amount of feedback to the road, owners note how the Q50 is just as comfortable hugging the corners of a twisting b-road as it is cruising at speed on the highway or grabbing groceries around town. Mixing the best of both worlds has always been a challenge for the premium sport sedan segment. Performance-minded owners look to their cars to provide nimble handling and responsive steering, while the luxury-minded buyer might look for a car with a more refined, relaxed ride. In fact, Infiniti took into account both of these types of drivers when it offered the world's first steer-by-wire system. Direct Adaptive Steering (DAS) removes the mechanical linkage between the steering and front wheels, and allows owners to customize their own driving experience for just the right amount of steering feedback, weight and responsiveness depending on road conditions and personal preference.

Owners aren't the only ones lauding the Q50. Since its debut, the car has been recognized around the world for its driving dynamics, advanced safety and convenience features. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the Q50 a Top Safety Pick+, while the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the car its highest honor, a 5-Star overall safety rating. This year, Edmunds.com presented the 2014 Q50 with its Top Rated Vehicle award and a jury of international automotive journalists nominated it as a 2014 World Car of The Year contender.
