RENOWNED ARCHITECT JOINS WORLD OF SPEED DESIGN TEAM

Company press release.

RENOWNED ARCHITECT JOINS WORLD OF SPEED DESIGN TEAMPORTLAND, Ore. - World of Speed, a nonprofit experiential motor sports exposition being developed in Wilsonville, has retained world-renowned architect Anthony Belluschi, FAIA, to consult on the design of the new museum. Given Belluschi's close relationship with project lead designer Jean-Pierre Veillet of Siteworks, Inc., his relevant experience in this period of work, and his father Pietro's work in Oregon, Belluschi's contribution will help authenticate and inspire the mid-century modern design theme of the project, thus completing the scope of expertise for World of Speed.

'Our vision is to showcase our amazing car collection in a unique and interesting destination tourist attraction that supports the visitor industry,' said Tony Thacker, World of Speed Executive Director. 'Anthony brings more than 40 years of international experience in a wide range of architectural disciplines and we're confident that his perspective will enhance the visitor experience at World of Speed.'

'To contextualize our unique collection,' continued Thacker, 'The racecars and muscle cars -- mostly drawn from the era after the atom bomb (1945) and before the gas crunch (1973) -- will be displayed alongside contemporary, mid-century furniture and imagery. Positioning the vehicles in historical perspective will enhance the visitor experience and create a more encompassing educational

environment.'

'As a car enthusiast for all of my life, I am particularly pleased to be on the design team for one of the newest and most interesting museums in the Pacific Northwest,' said Anthony Belluschi. 'We will be creating a unique environment blending education and entertainment, which we call 'edutainment,' focused on automobiles and racing.'
