Lexington, June 29, 2016: The 2016 edition of the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance celebrates Chrysler cars, and features more than 120 collector cars and motorcycles, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday, July 16 at the Keene Barn Entertainment Center at the historic Keeneland thoroughbred race track.

The Concours features cars from 1908 through 2016, as well as motorcycles from 1915 through 1964. The featured class is Chrysler cars through the ages. There's also a group of Winged Warriors, the Dodge Daytonas and Plymouth Superbirds that dominated NASCAR racing in the early 1970s.

'We're thrilled to have such rare and remarkable cars at this year's Concours, including some that have won major awards at other events,' said Tom Jones, Concours co- chair. 'We invite everyone to come celebrate all things Kentucky and have a great day here at Keeneland.'

There's also a class of cars featured in movies and TV shows, including 'Back to the Future,' 'Smokey and the Bandit,' 'Knight Rider' and 'Transformers.' A special historical display highlights carriage builders that transitioned to building bodies for cars in the early days of the automobile.

The weekend kicks off with the Hanger Bash, 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday, July 15, at the DGY Hangar at Bluegrass Airport. Information and tickets are available at http://www.keenelandconcours.com

For the third year, faculty and staff from the University of Kentucky have built and will support a mobile website to provide up-to-date, readily accessible information to all Keeneland Concours d'Elegance participants. It is available at www.kcde.co.

For smart phone users with 'location enabled', the site allows the user to see their location on the show field (via 'you are here') and gain immediate orientation. It also provides information about food vendors, restrooms, first aid locations and other key information.
