GROUP B RALLY CARS MONSTER THE HILL
June 24, 2016 by GoodwoodRallying's most extreme era is being celebrated at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The short-lived Group B category was axed in 1986, but not before it left an indelible imprint on the memories of anyone who witnessed these incredible machines in their pomp. For those who did not, the Festival offers fans the chance to get close to these steroidal beasts and the stars who tame them. Goodwood's celebration of all-things Group B witnesses arguably the greatest selection of models ever assembled in one place. They range from Jeff Williamson's diminutive Citroen Visa Chrono to Martin Fox's Martini-liveried Lancia Delta S4. British machinery includes the likes of John Saunders' MG Metro 6R4 and James Avis' sublime Ford RS200. These remarkable cars will be appearing on the Hill or on the Forest Rally Stage throughout the Festival weekend.
