World's Most Famous Car Comes to Hershey

Company press release.

World's Most Famous Car Comes to HersheyHERSHEY, PA - The Elegance At Hershey is thrilled to announce that the one and only 1964 James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 used in the movie Goldfinger will be exhibited during the June 14th event.

'Having this iconic and instantly recognizable car at The Elegance is an absolute thrill on so many levels,' noted Mark Lizewskie, Chairman of Car Selection. 'The Aston Martin DB5 is such a beautiful car to begin with, and the 007 provenance raises the excitement quotient to maximum!'

The car, owned by Ohio collector Harry Yeaggy, carries the JB007 license plates, and is one of two that appeared in both the Goldfinger and Thunderball movies. The other car was stripped of its gadgetry after public touring, and in 1997 was reported stolen from a Florida airplane hangar and has never been recovered. The Yeaggy-owned car was purchased in 1969 by radio station owner Jerry Lee and stored for 40 years before being purchased by Yeaggy. It still carries all of 007's spy technology as supplied by Q!

'Arguably the World's Most Famous Car, the Aston Martin DB5 with its British lineage will look right at home in the beautiful formal gardens of the Hotel Hershey,' says Don Stabilito, Executive Director of the Elegance. 'We are truly thrilled and honored to present this exemplary automobile at this year's Elegance at Hershey.'
