1963 Volvo 122S

Similar to the Volvo PV544, the four-door sedan Model 122S had a larger engine and a 12-volt electrical system. Power was from an overhead valve four-cylinder engine that displaced 108.5 cubic inches and offered 90 horsepower. There were drum brakes and a four-speed manual gearbox. Exterior changes included a large grille area which gave the vehicle better cooling.

The Model 122S was available as a two-door sedan, a four-door sedan, or a four-door station wagon. Pricing ranged from $2,500 - $2,600.

Introduced at the 1959 New York International Auto Show, the 122S was intended to replace the then-current PV444 model. Body styles included a two-door, 4-door, or wagon.
