The Ssangyong Musso Picks-Up 4X4 Magazine's Best Value Pick-Up Award For 2019
December 23, 2019 by SsangYongSsangYong Motors UK is delighted the Musso pick-up has picked-up 4x4 Magazine's Best Value Pick-Up Award for the second year in a row. The win comes after Musso receiving a highly commended award by WhatVan? at its annual award ceremony in London last week. Alan Kidd, Editor at 4x4 Magazine, said; 'The SsangYong Musso took this award last year and it's no surprise to see it here again. It's an unbeatable amount of truck for your money, with towing and carrying abilities that make it very fit for purpose.' 'You get a stack of equipment too, as well as a 7-year/ 150,000-mile warranty that remains the best in the pick-up business. But there is more to the Musso than just being cheap. It has perhaps the most SUV-like interior of any pick-up, thanks to its Rexton underpinnings, and it proves that SsangYong has learned how to make stylish vehicles. It deserves to be taken seriously at any price – especially such a good one.' The Musso pick-up, which arrived in the UK in 2018, shares its body-on-frame construction to give an extremely strong vehicle that delivers excellent off-road driving performance and safety from its quad-frame and four-wheel-drive system. Designed to carry passengers in comfort and transport loads securely, the SUV-based Musso combines a five-seat crew-cab body style with a workman-like load deck that will take a full-sized Euro pallet. Importantly, it also carries a payload of over 1-tonne and tows trailers of up to 3.5 tonnes concurrently to give the highest total load capacity in the segment. This combination of utility pick-up and SUV means Musso offers the perfect blend of functionality, practicality, performance and comfort to the driver and family or workmates. Inside, Musso is exceptionally well equipped compared with other pick-ups, and as well as offering excellent shoulder and leg room front and rear. DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity feature across the range, while all but the entry level model feature a state-of-the-art infotainment system that includes an 8-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Wi-fi mirroring, or 9.2-inch screen with TomTom navigation on top line models. Nick Laird, managing director at SsangYong Motors UK, said; 'We are absolutely thrilled that Musso has won this accolade from 4x4 Magazine, I am especially pleased at how they have captured Musso exactly as we see it – truly capable, practical and good value for money. ' One of the toughest pick-ups on the market, SsangYong backs its faith in Musso by supplying it with a sector-leading 7-year/150,000-mile warranty. 'We believe in the strength of our truck. No other pick-up or SUV comes with such comprehensive reassurance, and without the small-print of so many other manufacturer warranties.'
