Nissan North America Appoints Head Of Philanthropy

Parul Bajaj to lead charitable and corporate giving efforts in the U.S.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Nissan North America (NNA) today announced that Parul Bajaj has been named senior manager, Philanthropy. She will be responsible for leading NNA's corporate giving and philanthropic strategy for the U.S. Bajaj is also named executive director, Nissan Foundation, overseeing activities related to the Foundation's ongoing support of educational programs that celebrate and foster diversity.

Bajaj replaces Vicki Smith, who retires from Nissan at the end of July after more than 30 years at the company.

'Parul's background in corporate communications combined with her passion for volunteerism makes her uniquely suited for this role. By fostering deeper relationships with nonprofit organizations in our local communities, she will further refine Nissan's philanthropic strategy,' said Travis Parman, vice president, Corporate Communications, Nissan North America, Inc.

Bajaj joined the Nissan Corporate Communications team in March 2016 and brings extensive experience from Bridgestone and FedEx. Since then, she has held positions of increasing responsibility in corporate and manufacturing communications. Most recently, she completed an 18-month assignment with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi communications team, based in Paris.

Bajaj holds a bachelor's degree in international business and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss.
