The technology exchange between the EV racing teams and Jaguar Land Rover engineers have helped inform and enhance the development of the Jaguar I-PACE and future electric Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, particularly in the areas of powertrain performance and efficiency; software and controls; battery management – including efficiency, thermal management and regeneration; transmission design and durability; and development of lightweight materials. For its third year in New York, the ABB FIA Formula E championship returns with several improvements, including a new E-Village festival where guests can experience the cars and technology that drive the series, enjoy street eats in the Taste Zone as well as live performances and stunts, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY paddock. Also new for this year is a shaded viewing area in the E-Village overlooking the track. Fans can also play an active role in determining the outcome of the race with FANBOOST, a platform allowing fans to vote once per day for their favorite drivers and award them an extra boost of power during the race. To vote, visit www.fiaformulae.com/fanboost, vote on Twitter using #FANBOOST and #drivername, or vote via the official ABB FIA Formula E app available for iPhone and Android. The ABB FIA Formula E Championship is the world's first fully-electric racing series. The final rounds of the 18/19 season will take place July 13-14, 2019 on a unique 1.47-mile street course in Red Hook, Brooklyn around Pier 11 and the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal with the iconic New York City backdrop.
