Suzuki Business Partners ProgrammeSuzuki GB PLC is very pleased to announce the launch of its Business Partners programme, a major strategy that targets increasing its Fleet and Corporate sales by more than a third over the next three years.

Suzuki's Head of Fleet, Graeme Jenkins, has developed and led the exciting new initiative with his Field and Office based teams who are in consultation with the brands 161 strong dealer network to gauge interest in joining the programme. This has taken place over the last 18 months and has proved very fruitful as Suzuki already has 68 showrooms from 33 of their Dealer groups enlisted.

To become a Suzuki Business Partner, dealers must commit to having a dedicated member of staff for Fleet sales, have a Fleet specific section on their websites and also have a strong social media presence. They must also deliver a high level of customer service to the Fleet Industry. Once signed up as a Suzuki Business Partner, dealers will be given the option to renew their commitment every year and new dealers can also enlist.

Joining the programme will enable dealers to handle incoming sales from Contract Hire and Leasing companies as well as generating Fleet sales within their own locality.

Commenting on the new programme, Graeme Jenkins said: 'Suzuki is seen as a genuine challenger brand in the Fleet market and we have a massive opportunity here to work with our dealers and their local businesses. Its not revolution, its evolution to look at the 50 per cent of the market place we hadn't previously had a proposition for.

All of our dealers excel at providing top level customer service on a local level and enlisting in the programme can only help bolster this. The key thing to remember is that we are looking to generate incremental and profitable local Fleet Business and will continue to manage relationships with the major leasing companies on their behalf.'

Once a Fleet sale has taken place and in order to build good Aftersales relationships, all participating dealers must adhere to the Suzuki Business Aftersales Charter which provides Business customers with a clear understanding of what to expect when their vehicle is booked in for any service, maintenance or repair work (SMR). This also includes a commitment to transparent pricing and booking lead times.

Suzuki will further expand its 'Fit for Fleet' range of cars later next year with the addition of two new models from the announcement of its technology share with Toyota Motor Corporation. These will be Suzuki badged and specified models of the UK Built Corolla Touring Hybrid and Japanese built RAV4 PHEV.
