IRVINE, Calif. Reporting directly to Karma CEO Dr. Lance Zhou, Oshiro will lead Karma's Innovation and Customization Center (KICC) in Moreno Valley, Calif., responsible for producing the company's new 2020 Revero GT – which reaches dealer showrooms during Q3 - followed by the launch of a new global all-electric platform slated for 2021.

'Alan joins Karma with a broad spectrum of lean manufacturing experience both within the automotive business and in other sectors which will be a vital addition to our team as we approach the launch of the Revero GT later this year and seek to continue Karma's growth,' Zhou said.

Prior to Karma, Oshiro was Vice President for a stamping facility in Cullman, Ala., owned by Topre America Corp., a manufacturer of high performance components and products, temperature controlled logistics, air conditioning systems and electronic equipment. He was employed at the New United Motors Manufacturing Inc. plant in Fremont, Calif., for 13 years and for three years was assigned to Toyota headquarters in Erlanger, Ky., to learn the Toyota Production System, a lean manufacturing methodology developed over a 20 year period to eliminate non value-added waste in manufacturing and other processes. Oshiro was also Plant Manager for Siegel Robert Automotive, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high value coatings on plastic for the automotive and commercial truck industries, and was most recently an independent consultant helping improve the efficiency of various manufacturing operations.

For Karma, Oshiro will help drive the company's efforts to provide customization services for other brands, grow contract manufacturing opportunities, and increase retail sales through personalized customization for our discerning luxury customers.

'The exclusive design and world-class craftsmanship featured at KICC defines who we are as a company,' Oshiro says. 'My goal is to create a culture of Kaizen to continually improve people and process and an environment where all employees are actively engaged in suggesting and implementing improvements to the company.'
