CHICAGO – U.S. News & World Report has designated the 2019 Nissan Murano as the 'Best 2-Row SUV for the Money' for the fourth time in five years in the magazine's annual 'Best Cars for the Money' awards.

The awards, in 14 automotive categories, have been published annually since 2007. The award was presented to Nissan in conjunction with the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. According to U.S. News, Murano stood out for its 'outstanding value and critical acclaim.' The 2019 Murano has a starting MSRP of $31,270 USD1.

'Since the launch of the original Nissan Murano 16 years ago, it has had a profound impact on the SUV market, offering a forward-looking design sensibility that combines elegant styling with premium features,' said Scott Shirley, vice president, CMM & Marketing Operations, Nissan North America, Inc. 'With the enhancements for the 2019 model year, Murano takes another major leap forward in terms of advanced technology and value. We're grateful to U.S. News & World Report for once again recognizing Murano as a leader in its class.'

Now in its third generation, Murano receives a comprehensive refreshening for the 2019 model year. Enhancements to the luxurious interior are led by new semi-aniline leather-appointed seats with diamond-quilted inserts and contrasting micro-piping trim for the seats, door armrests and center console lid for the Murano Platinum grade. Other changes include three new interior trim finishers: Dark Wood-Tone, Light Wood-Tone and Metallic.

In addition, all 2019 Murano models feature Nissan's innovative Rear Door Alert (RDA) system and Intelligent Driver Alertness (I-DA)2, which learns each individual driver's steering patterns and helps alert the driver when drowsy driving is detected. Available technology includes Intelligent Around View®Monitor (I-AVM) and an 11-speaker Bose® premium audio system3.

Safety, security and driver assistance technologies have also been revised for 2019 with the availability of Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of six advanced active safety and driver-assist technologies designed to help provide 360 degrees of confidence.
