1933 Rover 14/6 Speed Pilot

The Rover 14/6 Speed Pilot, also known as the 'Speed Fourteen,' was announced in autumn of 1932 and rested on an underslung chassis. The previous frame rose over the back axle, while the Speed Pilot and Pilot 14 was now straightened and set to run beneath the back axle. This arrangement limited suspension movement but allowed lower coachwork. The overhead-valve inline-six cylinder engine displaced 1,577cc and had triple carburetors. It was paired with a freewheeling four-speed transmission, and mechanical componentry included Lockheed hydraulic brakes, Luvax-Bijur automatic lubricator, and even electric windshield wipers.
