Citroën At Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2019: Picture Gallery
July 8, 2019 by CitroënAs part of its centenary celebrations, Citroën made its mark at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed with a whole host of activity that showcased the French manufacturer's legacy over the past 100 years. The Citroën stand showcased the brand's opulent heritage, while also referencing some of its current models such as the flagship New C5 Aircross SUV. The stand also demonstrated Citroën's vision for the future with the Ami One and 19_19 concept vehicles, making their UK debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019. The theme of the 2019 Festival of Speed was 'Speed Kings - Motorsport's Record Breakers' celebrating key moments from motorsport history with its most famous drivers and manufacturers. Citroën Racing attended the event and spectators were able to feel the thrill of the C3 WRC with Sébastien Ogier, Esapekka Lappi and Mads Østberg taking part in the Forest Rally stage and Goodwood's historical hill climb. Citroën also demonstrated three of the brand's most recognisable models in the centenary parade on the esteemed Goodwood Hill. Spectators were drawn to the iconic models which included the Traction Avant, the first mass-produced front-wheel drive car; the 2CV, the car that brought freedom and mobility to so many people in the 1950's, 60's and 70's, and the flagship, New Citroën C5 Aircross SUV. Citroën's Global CEO, Linda Jackson, was present at the event alongside Xavier Peugeot, Citroën Product Director, Arnaud Belloni, Citroën Global Marketing and Communications Director, and Pierre Leclercq, Citroën Design Director.
