London, 24th June 2019 – MG Motor UK and Richmond Motor Group, a leading MG franchise partner, have further reinforced their partnership by jointly sponsoring the Itchen Bridge in Hampshire. Strategically located near the Richmond MG Southampton dealership, banners on Itchen Bridge carry MG branding on the busiest river crossing in the county.

Connecting the A3025 Portsmouth Road to Southampton, Itchen Bridge is the main crossing in and out of the city and spans 800 metres. With over six million drivers crossing the bridge every year, the recent sponsorship provides excellent exposure for Richmond Motor Group and the MG brand.

Richmond Motor Group's MG dealerships in Southampton and Portsmouth both offer the full range of MG products, backed by MG's famous 7-year warranty. In addition, both sites benefit from a dedicated aftersales team to ensure excellent customer support in line with MG's drive for market-leading levels of service. The Southampton branch boasts a 10-bay workshop, while the workshop in Portsmouth offers another 25 bays. The workshops are staffed by experienced technicians trained to MG standards. In hot anticipation of the brand-new MG ZS EV, both dealerships have installed MG branded electric vehicle charging points on the premises.

Despite only opening its doors in November 2018, the Southampton branch is already one of the largest MG dealerships in the country. Richmond's multi-brand site, including MG, stretches over six-and-a-half acres. Planning is already underway for a third MG dealership in the region, which is expected to open within the next twelve months and will offer the full MG product range and services.
