Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has received acclaim for its work with the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector, taking home five trophies from the 2019 Business Vans Awards. Not only did its Transporter panel van and kombi models triumph in their sectors, but Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles was also cited for having the Best Manufacturer Conversion Programme, the Best Used Van Programme and the Best Van Funding. The awards were judged by a panel of experts from across the industry.

Work done on Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' conversion programme in the past two years, as well as ongoing evolution and digitisation of its used and funding products, demonstrate the brand's desire to make the lives of small business owners easy, recognising that vehicles are vital to their work – if their vans aren't working, they're not working.

Commenting on the awards, Managing Editor of Business Vans, Chris Wright, said: 'Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' conversion programme makes the buying process much easier for customers, with servicing and aftersales support now available in one place. The new converter recognition programme will also extend the range of off-the-shelf and bespoke conversions on offer and guarantees the quality of products available directly through Volkswagen's dedicated Van Centre network.'

He noted that the company's Das Welt Auto Used Van programme 'gives buyers the same peace of mind when buying a used van as new, along with the same high-quality interaction with sales staff' as well as a comprehensive warranty and roadside assistance.

In reviewing the Van Funding programme the judges were impressed by Volkswagen's variety of funding options plus 'website with simple explanations, a finance calculator and 72 Van Centres with dedicated finance managers who can advise and support'.
